Peaceful Pottery Workshop: Festive Tea Light Holder
About
A two-hour pottery workshop making a ceramic tea light holder inspired by Hexham's historic buildings, with teas, coffee and homemade cake.
This relaxed, friendly workshop guides participants through making a ceramic tea light holder using shapes inspired by the architecture of the North East. Attendees learn to roll, smooth and shape clay, create texture and pattern by cutting, carving and smoothing with provided tools, and join pieces for strength before adding their own detail. The finished piece is dried, glazed and fired, ready for collection about four weeks later from Beyond the Byre (or posted for a small extra charge). Teas, coffees and homemade cake are included; under-16s must attend with a parent or legal guardian.
