Mettle

A solo play written and performed by Nicholas Collett about his father's wartime service on the Atlantic Convoys, with soundscape and 1940s music.

Nicholas Collett's solo play draws on his father Gordon's wartime service on the Atlantic Convoys aboard HMS Vanessa, and on the service records he examined after his father's death in 2018. The stories are told with a dramatic soundscape and 1940s music, commemorating those who served, were lost, and survived. It is presented in association with the Daparian Foundation, which supports veterans and blue lights personnel on trauma journeys.
