Panto! Beauty and the Beast

A family Christmas pantomime of Beauty and the Beast by Tom Whalley, with music, laughter and enchanted castle fun.

The People's Theatre stages Tom Whalley's family pantomime version of Beauty and the Beast over the Christmas period. Belle is held prisoner by a cursed Beast in his enchanted castle, home to talking crockery and wise-cracking salt and pepper shakers, while her father and best friend attempt a rescue and true love battles to break the spell. The show runs approximately 2 hours 30 minutes including an interval and features loud music, flashing lights, haze, smoke and pyrotechnics; a relaxed performance is offered separately on 15 December.
