Special Collections Display - The Dark Fairy Tales of Arthur Rackham

A free display at the Mitchell Library celebrating illustrator Arthur Rackham through books and images from the Children's Collection.

The Special Collections department at the Mitchell Library presents a display of books and images devoted to Arthur Rackham, one of the great children's book illustrators. Rackham illustrated classics such as Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan and Gulliver's Travels in his signature pen and watercolour style, drawing on the Pre-Raphaelites, the Arts and Crafts Movement and Art Nouveau. The display can be found in the level 5 foyer and highlights the library's Children's Collection.
