About

Paintings by Lucy Dodd use peat, plants, minerals and meteorite dust to connect the landscape of northern Scotland with mythology and lunar imagery.

Dodd’s new paintings draw on materials gathered around the Moray Coast and Findhorn River, including burnt peat from the Dava Moor wildfires. Circular and shaped canvases combine botanical and mineral pigments with traces of everyday gestures. References to Artemis and Diana connect ideas of autonomy, wilderness and the moon. The advertised September17 reception is before the collection window and is not added as an upcoming performance.
