The opening event marks Goran Tomcic's London exhibition of Heartstrings works, sculptures made from thousands of hand-sewn reflective sequins on fishing line that cascade into the gallery space like chandeliers. Tomcic, known for using store-bought objects as raw material, plans a new performance using gold holographic films for the London show, and the exhibition combines discrete sequin pieces into one grand installation. The works draw on memories of shiny festive clothing and, in the artist's words, are 'shiny and sad at the same time'. The gallery is also open Thursdays and Fridays 1-5pm and Saturdays 12-4pm.
