About
Matthew Bourne’s dance thriller reimagines the setting of Carmen as a 1950s garage-diner in the American Midwest. The arrival of an enigmatic stranger disrupts a small town, setting off a story of desire, greed, betrayal and revenge.
New Adventures presents Bourne’s vivid storytelling with a dramatic score by Terry Davies featuring Rodion Shchedrin’s Carmen Suite. The production includes an audio-described performance with a free touch tour on 12 November and a free post-show talk after performances.
