Louise Michele Bird

Gagliardi Gallery presents a selection of Louise Michele Bird’s contemporary figurative paintings, which examine the human form at enlarged scale.

Bird focuses on the details of hands, feet and limbs, setting carefully observed figures against bold colour and using cropping and unconventional perspectives to emphasize their sculptural presence. The works combine realism with abstraction and invite attention to the body’s expressive qualities.
