Transmissions Presents: Hellraiser VHS (Intro by Alison Rumfitt)

Transmissions closes its Halloween season with a VHS screening of Hellraiser introduced by horror author Alison Rumfitt, plus short film The Dysphoria.

Transmissions' Halloween season closes with Clive Barker's Hellraiser (1987), screened from an original VHS tape and introduced by horror author Alison Rumfitt (Tell Me I'm Worthless, Brainwyrms). The feature is preceded by the short film The Dysphoria (2025), in which a trans woman turns to black magic when her surgery is cancelled. Seating is a first-come, first-served mix of benches, chairs, bar stools and floor space, and subtitles are unavailable for the feature due to the VHS format. The event is 18+ and marked as a relaxed performance.
