About
The fourth walk in a four-part Port of London series examines the Surrey Commercial Docks and their transformation into Docklands.
Led by Footprints guide Rob Smith, this three-mile walk considers how the former docks and timber ponds became parks, housing and shops. It looks at surviving dock buildings, how the docks worked and how Docklands differs from neighbouring Canary Wharf. It meets at Canada Water station on Deal Porter Way and finishes at Surrey Quays station. Meeting instructions: Meet on Deal Porter Way by Canada Water station, Surrey Quays.
