Folk guitarist Martin Simpson returns to Cumbernauld Folk Club for an intimate solo evening of traditional songs and storytelling at Lanternhouse.

Martin Simpson, widely regarded as one of the finest acoustic and slide guitar players in the world, performs a solo show for Cumbernauld Folk Club. His interpretations of traditional songs are described as masterpieces of storytelling, delivered with intensity and honesty. A 32-time BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards nominee, his recent releases include the 2024 solo album Skydancers on Topic Records and Nothing But Green Willow with Nashville's Thomm Jutz.
