About

Wild Oxfordshire's annual conference on wildlife gardening, with talks on garden biodiversity, pond creation and bio-acoustic monitoring, plus an outdoor kitchen-garden session.

Wild Oxfordshire hosts this year's Local Environment Groups Conference, a day of talks on encouraging nature into gardens of any size. Speakers include Dr Steve Head on why gardens are biodiverse habitats, Dr Caitlin McLaughlin on garden design and ecosystem services, Kathy Wormald on wildlife-friendly ponds, and Dr Julian Parfitt on using bio-acoustic monitoring to support birds and other species. Attendees can also give two-minute speed updates on local nature projects, and an optional outdoor session afterwards explores the kitchen garden at Asthall Manor.
