Sunday Sessions: James Allsopp Quartet: Getz at 100

The James Allsopp Quartet performs a Sunday lunchtime jazz programme celebrating Stan Getz's centenary.

James Allsopp's quartet presents a tribute to saxophonist Stan Getz in his centenary year, drawn from repertoire spanning lush ballads, bossa novas, swinging standards and bebop compositions. The band interprets the material respectfully but not reverentially, aiming to let it breathe for a modern audience. The line-up features Allsopp on tenor saxophone with Colin Oxley on guitar, Olly Hayhurst on double bass and Dave Storey on drums.
