Villanelle

UK grunge-leaning rock trio Villanelle play a standing live show at Scala, presented by Live Nation SJM Concerts.

Villanelle are a UK-based grunge-leaning rock band formed in summer 2023 by Gene Gallagher (vocals/guitar), Ben Taylor (guitar) and Jack Schiavo (bass). The trio blend raw authenticity with hook-driven rock and roll, drawing influence from Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, My Bloody Valentine, Dinosaur Jr and The Who. After selling out shows before releasing music, their singles Hinge and Placebo set the tone for their debut EP, Measly Means. Doors open at 7:30pm and the event ends at 11:00pm; admission is standing, 16-plus with photo ID required.
