The Wren Revival Book Club

A pop-up book club at Booka Bookshop discussing Zakia Sewell's Finding Albion as part of Oswestry's Wren Revival project.

Booka Bookshop hosts a special pop-up book club session as part of Oswestry's Wren Revival project, in the run-up to Wren Day ahead of the Winter Solstice. Attendees read Zakia Sewell's Finding Albion — a quest for alternative stories of Britain through folk songs, legends, seasonal rites and stone circles — then gather to discuss the book and its themes over a drink from the cafe. The session is run in collaboration with the Wren Revival, Oswestry's Ritual Revivalist Group, who are mentioned in the book itself.
