Flesh of Vessel

Soko Hwang’s exhibition brings sculpture, moving image and installation into a meditation on bodies, possession and transformation.

The exhibition juxtaposes maritime forms, Victorian glasshouse architecture, garden diagrams, cabinets, plant growth, myths and cultural imagery. Through sculpture, moving image and installation, it examines how systems classify and regulate bodies, and how transformation can unsettle the boundaries between flesh and vessel.
