Weekly Open Folk Session and Pub Singing

Free weekly Monday acoustic folk session and pub singing at The Golden Lion, Romford, open to all players, singers and listeners.

The Romford Ceilidh Band hosts a free weekly open folk session at The Golden Lion, welcoming acoustic instrument players and vocalists of all levels, including complete beginners who can arrange informal free lessons beforehand. Each Monday session runs 7pm to 9pm, beginning with new tunes, moving through established repertoire, and ending with a lively 'Shout' inviting audience participation. Sheet music and lyric sheets are available online, and participants are encouraged to teach tunes from any tradition in a collaborative, community-focused atmosphere.
