Fifty Years On: The Evolving Collection 1976–2026

A 50th-anniversary display of art and objects acquired by Harrow School’s Old Speech Room Gallery since 1976, including photography, maps, books, sculpture and recent gifts.

The collection display traces fifty years of acquisitions at the Old Speech Room Gallery. It includes early gifts associated with Victor Pasmore, photographs by former pupils who became royal photographers, historic maps and books, prints, ceramics, a portrait of Henry Purcell, and objects connected to the transatlantic slave trade. Public viewing is confined to the gallery’s listed autumn dates and may change for school business.
