An Evening of Midwinter Gothic

An evening of dark tales and Chester's ghostly past at Chapters Book Bar, featuring three local storytellers.

Heritage Chester hosts an intimate evening of dark history and ghost stories at Chapters Book Bar on Watergate Row South. Martin Webb recounts the 1772 puppet show explosion on Watergate Street, former Browns of Chester employee Maria Barnard shares ghostly tales from the department store, and writer and tour guide David Atkinson explores 2,000 years of Chester's darker side. The evening runs about two hours and 15 minutes with an interval, and signed copies of David's book will be available on the night.
