A free family evening of Wassail songs, Morris dancing, a lantern and drumming procession, tree ceremonies, cider blessing and a Mummers' play.

Hill Close Gardens hosts a traditional Wassail celebration on Saturday 16th January 2027, with doors opening at 4.30pm for children's activities before the event starts at 6pm. The family-friendly programme includes Wassail songs, Morris dancing, a lantern and drumming procession, tree ceremonies, a cider blessing and a Mummers' play. Children can make their own lantern for £2, or bring one from home. It is a free event but tickets are required.
