About

Marshall Pailet’s musical follows deaf Welsh sniper Gomer Jones through World War One, combining an original score with BSL, creative captioning and live Foley.

Inspired by deaf Welsh First World War sniper Gomer Jones, this musical explores belonging, friendship and the costs of pursuing recognition. Hearing, hard-of-hearing and deaf performers use integrated British Sign Language, live creative captions and Foley sound effects.
