Home: Gypsy and Traveller Lives in Dorset

An exhibition exploring a century of Gypsy and Traveller life in Dorset through archives, objects and oral histories.

Presented with Dorset History Centre and Kushti Bok, the exhibition explores how Gypsy and Traveller communities in Dorset have lived over the past century and how ideas of home differ across families. Displays include archival material, wooden models of vardos, soil samples from historic settlements, contemporary objects and oral histories. The exhibition runs 25 July 2026 through 23 January 2027 inclusive; admission is included in the museum’s standard entry fee.
