The Barber of Seville

Merry Opera performs Rossini's comic opera The Barber of Seville at the Lichfield Garrick.

Merry Opera stages Gioachino Rossini's The Barber of Seville, a comic tale of Count Almaviva's attempts to woo Rosina with the help of the quick-witted barber Figaro, outsmarting her guardian Dr Bartolo. The production promises disguises, scheming and romantic duets, and is pitched as a good introduction for opera newcomers as well as a favourite for seasoned opera-goers.
