About

A guided sewing course takes learners through measuring and making a gathered skirt, with options for waistband, zip, pockets and trim.

The course is for learners with some sewing experience who have completed the five-week All Sewn Up course; it is not for absolute beginners. Participants learn to measure for a gathered skirt, choose an elasticated or fitted waistband, and explore invisible zips, optional pockets and trims. The tutor asks learners to bring their chosen fabric, matching thread, interfacing and either elastic or a zip; precise fabric quantity is discussed at the first session.
