The Stranger

François Ozon adapts Albert Camus’s The Stranger, following the detached Meursault from his mother’s death to a murder trial in French Algeria.

Ozon writes and directs this screen version of Camus’s 1942 novel. The screening is introduced by Dr Sophie Belot, Senior Lecturer in Film and Screen Media at St Mary’s University.
