Junior Associate Sessions

Monthly two-hour Sunday ballet sessions for young dancers aged 9+ on Ballet Cymru's Junior Associate programme at its Newport studios.

Ballet Cymru's Associate Programme complements young dancers' existing training and offers insight into life as a professional dancer. Junior Associate sessions (ages 9+) run for two hours on one Sunday each month and include a ballet technique class plus complementary classes such as pointe work, strength coaching, repertoire, contemporary and other dance styles, with creative tasks building choreographic skills. Associates work with the company's professional dancers, Artistic Directors and guest teachers. Places are offered following auditions, and the company welcomes applications from young disabled dancers.
