Meet the Author Gilroy Gregory
About
Author Gilroy Gregory gives a talk in the Barbican Studio as part of the Being Human Festival programme, linked to the George, A Windrush Boy display.
As part of The Being Human Festival programme, Gilroy Gregory will be giving a talk at The Higgins Bedford's Barbican Studio. The talk accompanies the museum's dressing room display 'George, A Windrush Boy', which is inspired by his historical novel George (the teenage years) about an 11-year-old Windrush boy who came to England from Jamaica. The display, featuring illustrations by the author's daughter, explores the experiences of children who came with their parents from the colonies to help rebuild Britain after World War 2.
