Perfecting People's Park

A GoodGym Luton volunteer session helping the Friends of People's Park with their monthly tidy-up, including a litter pick and orchard maintenance.

GoodGym Luton joins the Friends of People's Park for their monthly park tidy session, supporting Luton Borough Council Parks and Countryside. Tasks rotate month to month and always include a litter pick to help the park keep its Green Flag status, and may involve maintaining the trees in the orchard. The session is timed to follow the Parkrun at nearby Wardown Park, and afterwards the group often heads to Lagoa Café for coffee. It is open to anyone aged 18 or over and is described as ideal for beginners.
