Hazel Arts runs a two-hour guided painting session at Tea by the Lock in Naburn, where participants create a miniature winter landscape painting suitable as a stocking-filler. A local artist who has exhibited internationally and in the UK explains materials and technique, helps with colour mixing and gives demonstrations. Beginners can use ready-prepared outlines, while more experienced painters may draw their own scene, and everyone is free to adapt the design. All materials are provided; refreshments are available to buy at the plant-based tearoom.
