About

A 75-minute participatory IF Oxford event blending improvised music, dark matter science from Dr Kimberly Palladino, inclusive dance and a guided movement workshop.

Part of IF Oxford, this 75-minute participatory performance combines science, music and dance around the theme of dark matter. Oxford Improvisers perform a live cosmic soundscape while physicist Dr Kimberly Palladino explains the science at the frontier of particle physics. Dancers, musicians and audience members are invited to respond in movement, tracing the invisible forces that hold galaxies together, with an optional guided movement element requiring no experience. Suitable for all ages, with under-16s accompanied by a responsible adult.
