About

A live stream of the first day of the Supreme Court appeal is paired with expert discussion of the protest ban’s public-law, human-rights and political questions.

The Centre for the Critique of Law and Society will stream the first day of the appeal and host four named contributors: Dr Daniella Lock, Prof. David Whyte, Prof. Merris Amos and Dr Tanzil Chowdhury. The official page describes Lock’s focus on national-security public law, Whyte’s historical account of protest/direct action and related criminal cases, Amos’s human-rights analysis and Chowdhury’s procedural context. Attendees may join or leave during the seven-hour day. Eventbrite marks the event free.
