Introduction to the Role of the Taxi and Private Hire Driver - Lowestoft

A two-day introductory course for current and aspiring licensed taxi and private hire drivers, ending with a multiple-choice assessment.

A two-day training course, run with East Suffolk Council, for people working in or entering the licensed taxi and private hire trade. Topics include health and safety, road safety, customer service, vehicle maintenance and inspections, the regulatory framework, assisting passengers, routes and fares, transporting parcels and luggage, and carrying children and young people. The course runs from 9.00am to 4.00pm each day and ends with a multiple-choice assessment; successful delegates receive a certificate of achievement. No formal entry requirements, though a good understanding of English is needed.
