Handmade Folk Book Workshop with Anne Kelly

Textile artist, author and tutor Anne Kelly leads a full-day course in textile collage and stitch at Frequency Cafe next door to Loop. Participants use simple hand-stitching and mixed media to create a folding book form inspired by folk-influenced themes, with stitch techniques taught as needed. The pieces are portable and designed to be continued at home, and the class suits all levels of ability. Some materials are provided; attendees bring a small hand-stitching kit, folk-themed fabric snippets or embroidery, and a base fabric no larger than 45 x 5 cm.
