Coast: Tidal Tales and Treasures

A free family-friendly exhibition at Kirkcaldy Galleries exploring Fife's coastline through treasures, tales and hands-on activities.

This exhibition celebrates Fife's 177-mile coastline, covering fishing, trading, seaside holidays, shipwrecks and rescues through objects such as paintings, a fishing boat model, a porthole from HMS Campania and a Punch and Judy puppet. Interactive elements include a rock pool corner, sea-themed crafts, a magnetic sandcastle challenge, dress-up and a giant sandcastle reading den. Fife-based illustrator Gillian O'Mara contributed to the exhibition, which runs until 25 April 2027.
