About
John Tweddle’s paintings and Michael Landy’s flower-trader stall sculpture bring two generations of work into a shared meditation on markets and the commodification of art.
The exhibition pairs Landy’s Costermonger stall no. 3 (1991) with Tweddle paintings made in New York between 1966 and 1972. Landy’s flower barrow recalls disappearing street trade, while Tweddle’s crowded images of money and commerce examine art becoming a commodity.
