Doing Shakespeare

A farcical comedy in which six actors who each learned a different Shakespeare play carry on regardless, starring Coronation Street's Steven Arnold.

David Spicer's comedy follows six actors who plan to perform Shakespeare the Elizabethan way — learning their parts separately and meeting only on the day. A breakdown in communications means each has learned a different play, but they press on convinced the audience won't notice. The Northern Comedy Theatre production runs about two hours and is recommended for ages 12+, with Steven Arnold among the cast.
