About

A two-hour guided walking tour from Barbican to Farringdon exploring London's dark history, from Smithfield's executions to the Black Death.

This two-hour, two-mile walking tour runs from Barbican Station to near Farringdon, taking in sites including The Charterhouse, Smithfield Market, St Bartholomew the Great, the William Wallace Memorial and Ye Olde Mitre. A guide recounts tales of regicide, rebellion, plague and the macabre, including Smithfield's bloody legacy and how the city dealt with the Black Death.
