Bell Ringing Days
About
A calendar of occasions when the bells of Westminster Abbey and St Margaret's Church are rung for services, festivals, royal and national events.
Westminster Abbey publishes a calendar of bell ringing throughout the year, marking church festivals, royal occasions and national observances. Ringing takes place either at the Abbey or at neighbouring St Margaret's Church, sometimes by the Abbey's own company of ringers and sometimes by visiting bands, and includes half-muffled ringing for commemorations such as Remembrance Sunday. On 5 January 2027 the Westminster Abbey Company of Ringers will attempt a full peal for St Edward the Confessor's day. The bells can generally be heard by the public from outside around the times of the associated services.
