Carnival of Souls

After surviving a car crash, a woman takes a church-organist job as unsettling visions begin to blur the boundary between life and death.

Mary Henry survives a car crash and travels to Utah to begin work as a church organist. Visions of an eerie figure and moments when others seem unable to see or hear her unsettle her new start. Herk Harvey’s atmospheric 1962 film draws its unease from Mary’s uncertain place between the living and the dead.
