Down For The Count All Stars – A Century of Swing

The Down for the Count All Stars big band performs a century of swing hits at Wiltshire Music Centre.

Down for the Count All Stars present an evening tracing swing music from its 1920s American origins through its 1930s, 40s and 50s heyday. The programme includes instrumental favourites by Duke Ellington and Glenn Miller, vocal classics associated with Nat 'King' Cole and Ella Fitzgerald, and original arrangements of jazz standards from the band's album Just You, Just Me. The show is delivered with the band's characteristic wit and humour.
