About

A volunteer-led two-hour walk exploring the Nene Wetlands, with a weather-dependent visit to Wilson’s Pits, an area normally inaccessible to the public. Binoculars are available to borrow.

Meet outside the Visitor Centre on the Boardwalk at Rushden Lakes. The route may include Wilson’s Pits when weather permits. Paths can be uneven or slippery; bring suitable footwear and clothing. Most suitable for ages 7 and over; under-18s must attend with a guardian. Online booking is recommended; walk-up places, if available, incur an additional £1 administration fee.
