Countrycare Introduction to Conservation Volunteering

A free conservation volunteering day helping maintain rare heathland at Chigwell Row Wood by removing encroaching saplings and scrub.

The Countrycare team hosts a hands-on volunteering session at Chigwell Row Wood Local Nature Reserve, where participants help protect rare heathland habitat by removing encroaching saplings and scrub. Cut material is burned on a fire on site. The event runs 10am–3pm, is open to adults aged 18 and over, and meets at the heathland area on the reserve, accessible via the car park off Romford Road near All Saints Church, Chigwell Row.
