A free nightly outdoor light installation of giant mythical dragons on turrets that interact with Blackpool Tower projections.
Guardians of the North is an outdoor light installation drawing on Lancashire's myths and legends, featuring dragons up to 7 metres tall perched on medieval-style turrets. Using digital technology and Illuminations artistry, the dragons blink, snarl and breathe smoke while interacting with projections on Blackpool Tower. Visitors can scan a QR code to choose a dragon and see it move across the Tower in a mystical projection.
