Something Wild

Lumiere Romford screens Jonathan Demme’s 1986 comedy-thriller about a buttoned-up businessman whose spontaneous ride with a free-spirited woman becomes a road trip.

A meeting at a downtown New York diner leads to a cross-country trip, where the two travellers confront hidden parts of themselves. Criterion presents the film as both a comic thriller and a love story. The cache runtime differs from Criterion’s listing, so no screening end is inferred.
