About

the87press hosts a Mushaira celebrating Nathaniel Mackey’s five-volume jazz fiction, with a digital reading, live readings, a trio response performance and DJ sets.

The programme moves from an online reading by Mackey to readings by Elaine Mitchener, Dhanveer Singh Brar, Annie Goh, Oscar Guardiola-Rivera and James Goodwin. Braze_____Braise close with a 45-minute musical response; DJ Will René provides music through the evening. A pop-up kitchen is also announced.
