About
Romsey Abbey's Ethelflaeda Festival weekend features a lecture on medieval nuns' manuscripts plus festival services with a guest preacher.
The Ethelflaeda Festival opens on Friday evening with a lecture by Dr Freddie Law Turner in the Church Rooms, exploring the Romsey Psalter, the Wilton Psalter and the role of manuscripts in the lives of medieval nuns. Entry is free but booking is requested. Sunday brings the Patronal Festival Sung Eucharist and Abbey Vine, both with guest preacher Revd Dr Amy Roche, Diocesan Head of Mission and Ministry, followed by Choral Evensong in the evening.
