Ce Roser: Running with the Sun, Works 1961–2014

Paintings and works on paper trace Ce Roser’s changing approach to abstraction, from vivid early compositions to sweeping bands of colour set against open white space.

The exhibition brings together works spanning more than five decades. Roser’s paintings combine remembered encounters and observed scenes with invented forms; later works place broad colour bands within white space informed by sunlight on the Hudson River. The programme includes a published opening reception on September17,18:00–20:00, followed by ordinary gallery viewing from September18 through December3. The current exhibiting artist is Ce Roser; historical influences and fellow activists in the source are not additional exhibitors.
