Touch Tour

Pre-show touch tours at Northern Stage letting blind and partially sighted audience members explore the stage, set, costumes and props ahead of audio described performances.

Northern Stage runs touch tours before selected audio described performances, giving blind and partially sighted audience members the chance to familiarise themselves with the show. Participants can walk on the stage and touch props, costumes and set pieces before the theatre opens. Audio describers and Northern Stage staff are on hand to answer questions and describe the space. Tours are scheduled ahead of Jane Eyre, The Christmas Sorting Office and The Snow Queen.
