Festive Forties – A Wartime Christmas
About
A two-day immersive 1940s wartime Christmas event at the museum with living history displays, costumed characters, live music, festive activities and Father Christmas.
The National Emergency Services Museum transforms its Victorian police, fire and ambulance station into a forties festive wonderland for a weekend. Visitors can explore interactive living history displays covering the battlefront and the home front, meet costumed characters and re-enactors, and enjoy live music, festive storytelling, Christmas craft activities and mulled wine. Father Christmas will also be in residence across the weekend, and pre-booking is recommended as this is one of the museum's most popular events.
