About
Speaker and author Gillian Perry leads a talk on the history of tea and afternoon tea, followed by traditional afternoon tea prepared by baker Urvashi Roe.
Gillian Perry MBE, founder of World of Afternoon Tea and author of Please Pass the Scones, discusses tea traditions and the development of British afternoon tea, from tea’s origins in China to its arrival at the English court. A traditional afternoon tea created by baker Urvashi Roe follows the talk. The menu is not yet published; the venue says it cannot accommodate fully vegan or gluten-free preference menus or allergies because of cross-contamination.
